About

Greenworks Video was officially conceived during the fall and winter of 2009, but the concept had been brewing in President Jim McConnell's mind since he founded his own production company, New West Television back in 1993. He's been trying to push high quality video out into the web since then, and finally the convergence of almost universal high speed bandwidth and high definition video advances have helped make his vision a reality. Several years ago, Jim met senior producer Brian Doubleday, a veteran film and video writer/producer/director who wandered into Jim's Golden studio to watch a friend create a green screen video, and the rest, as they say, is history. Brian immediately grasped the significance of what he was seeing, and after hearing Jim's plans for where he'd like to take this new approach to video production, he and Jim worked together on many corporate video productions while pursuing their mutual dream of a downtown Denver studio. Being two creative types, they realized that they needed someone much more grounded in the world of business to succeed-----enter John Love. John had been a client of theirs, creating very successful videos for his insurance group, Tech Assure (http://techassure.com). He liked what he saw, and when he heard about their vision for Greenworks, he became a director of Greenworks Video, Inc., and has since provided important strategic business expertise for bringing Greenworks Video to Main Street (or in Denver's case, 17th and Market).
